Bio

Joshua Kennedy is an Olympia, Washington based drummer that has been playing drums for 13 years. He has traveled across the United States and Australia playing drums as well as teaching classes. He has played with many bands over the years and has played on published records. He teaches drums and guitar at 333 Music Studios.

Joshua showed a natural ability for music at a young age and received his first drum set at age 12. He developed his skills and continued his pursuit of music by studying at SPSCC and in Sydney Australia.

Currently, Joshua plays with Great Wilderness and keeps busy on varied projects as an instrumentalist and producer. “I never thought I’d be where I am today musically. Sometimes you blink and things happen. Sometimes you work really hard and things happen. I feel like I fall somewhere in the middle of that. Through years of experience and guidance, I feel that instinct plays into musicianship more than you realize. I want the best product and feeling to be conveyed when I am working on a piece or project. Nothing is to small or big to fix and I believe that music is just another one of those invaluable experiences we have to uphold.”
