Bio

Jason McGinn was born and raised in Corner Brook, NL and has been playing drums for over 20 years. From a very young age, Jason has had a deep interest in drums which eventually developed into a passion. At age 12 he was chosen to play percussion in his school concert band which really kick-started his future in drums. Around this time, Jason’s parents purchased his first drum kit. Jason is known as a diverse and adoptable drummer with musical styles broad in range, from rock, country, worship and everything in between, all the way down to a simple shaker or percussion setup.

Jason currently plays drums for worship leader Angie Rogers. Angie Rogers is a worship leader based out of Corner Brook, NL and regularly leads worship at youth, young adult, woman’s conferences, summer music festivals (and everything in between) throughout Newfoundland and Eastern Canada. Jason has also played drums for countless other worship leaders in Newfoundland, as well as for Bluetree’s Aaron Boyd (pictured here with Jason). Based out of Corner Brook’s Westside Tabernacle, Jason has been a mentor to young drummers for many years.

Additionally, Jason has also been the Production Manager and Lead Team member of YC Newfoundland and Labrador for the last 10 years and also helped organized countless other Christian music events in Newfoundland. Jason has worked with such bands as For King and Country, Switchfoot, Newsboys, David Crowder, Thousand Foot Krutch, the Digital Age, Hillsong United, Kutless, Planetshakers, and Matt Maher to name a few.
