Noah Deist, an energetic and passionate musician, consistently steals the show with his meaningful songwriting and instrumental looping. Currently eighteen years old, Noah presently resides in Sioux Falls, SD. From a young age, Noah discovered an affinity for music, which only intensified as he began to take lessons on both guitar and drums. At seven years old his dad (who is also a drummer) started teaching him the basics and from there Noah took off. At eleven years old, he began to show a interest in playing guitar as well and has since become a skilled player of both drums and guitar. Noah’s passion for music only intensified as he found his niche in high school youth group. Starting as a drummer and guitarist, Noah eventually began taking over as a regular vocal worship leader in the church. Numerous musical mentors only continued to fuel his fire as they helped him grow in his faith and inspired to learn and grow in his musical career. As a current participant in multiple worship bands throughout the region, Noah frequently plays on Sunday mornings, whether vocally leading worship, playing guitar, or anchoring the band with his drumming prowess. Noah has a predominant goal to dive deeper into his personal faith, and he has found that music is one of the most effective ways to achieve this goal. He throughly enjoys participating in worship, and feels that he was given musical gifts with the purpose of sharing the word of Jesus Christ with others through music. As his musical skill increased, so did his desire to share his personal experiences via original songs. Through this platform, Noah has released both an EP, titled “Step One” and a single, “Onward.” His EP, “Step One” featured three songs, including a decisive and inspirational “What am I Waiting For” in which he challenged listeners to step outside of their comfort zone. Track two, “Guardrails” tackled difficult topics such as temptation and addiction and discussed the struggle with guarding one’s heart from the destructive elements of the world. The final track, “Chasing After You” is an explosive proclamation which exemplifies the fact that we should be following Christ over all else in our lives. When ask about his music Noah answers “I believe our world need more Christians who write music, not more Christian music. We are called to go into the darkest parts of the world and be the light, and we can’t do that if we are staying in the confines of our Christian radio stations.”  

Noah’s newest single, “Onward” was released on November 3rd, 2018 and depicts a whole new level of musical maturity in the singer/songwriter’s career. With an overarching tone of positivity, this “love” song encourages listeners to “keep pressing onward” in their relationships and lives, even when the future is unclear. “Onward” has been met with great enthusiasm by listeners and is available now on all listening platforms. Whether in the studio, at church, or at home writing, Noah Deist strives to create music that serves as an impression of hope and reassurance amidst a crazy world.
