West Side Christian Church is located in Springfield, Illinois, USA. They state :- ” West Side is non-denominational, meaning our only human leaders are our local Elder Team and Staff. We affiliate with other Independent Christian Churches, a loosely-connected group of nearly 6000 congregations in the United States. These churches emerged in the 1800s as part of the Restoration Movement, a unity movement that exploded with growth by inviting believers to rally around the simple, clear teachings of the New Testament, rather than dividing over secondary, denominational differences.  One of the slogans of those early Christian Church leaders was:  We are not the only Christians, but Christians only. Another was:  In essentials, unity; in opinions, liberty; but in all things, love! To those ideas, we continue to say, “Yes!”

West Side continues to value unity, not by blending the teachings of various denominations, but by humbly looking to the New Testament as the pattern for our own practice and teaching. Our members do not vote, lobby, or divide into camps. Instead, our leadership team follows the Bible as closely as our limited understanding allows, prays for wisdom in all things, and leads West Side forward. “
