Bio

I’ve been playing drums for the past 17 years.  I started in elementary school band, played for a couple of years in middle school, and then progressed onto a full drum set.  Taking lessons from two different teachers over the course of three years had me realizing that if I just took the time and listened to what/how I wanted to play, I could teach myself.  So that’s what I did.  Soon after that I was playing in my youth group band and haven’t looked back since.

I’ve kept up to date on all the changes in modern worship drumming and consider myself a modern worship drummer.  I enjoy playing all genres however.  After playing more in youth group, and as I got older, I progressed into playing more often and for “big church” as well.  When it comes to worship leading, I’ve been doing that for 14 years – including camps, conferences and concerts.  I’ve had the opportunity to play in bands that opened for some national acts as well – Sanctus Real and David Crowder Band are two notable names.  Currently I drum for worship artist/worship leader Jimmy Savage.

More recently I’ve come on staff at Heritage Church in Sterling Heights, Michigan as Tech Director.
