Onyx Custom Maple-Mahogany Drum Set Lacquer 5 Piece

The Onyx Custom Maple-Mahogany Drum Set Lacquer 5 Piece from Peace is a mid level kit at great pricing. Utilizing 9 ply maple/mahogany shells with low mass, low profile lugs, the warmth and power of these shells provide a slightly darker sound from our 9 ply maple kits. These drums feature beautiful lacquer stain finishes with black hoops and lugs. Shell construction: 3 ply outer maple, 3 ply inside mahogany, 3 ply outer maple. Hardware is medium duty.

These kits are ideal for “lighter duty” applications than the Heartbeat Percussion drum sets, or the Peace Paragon, Kahuna or DNA drum sets due to the less robust hardware. The Onyx series has also been a popular kit for home and teaching studio / classroom use.

The difference between the Onyx and these Onyx Custom drum sets is that we upgraded the kick pedal, added a reinforcing ring on the bass drum batter head and upgraded the standard 14″ x 12″ hanging floor tom to a 14″x 14″  3 leg standing floor tom

Shells feature factory singly ply clear heads on toms and bass, single ply coated head on snare.

Bass drum: 22″ diameter by 16″ deep
Tom toms: 10″ diameter by 9″ deep and 12″ diameter by 10″ deep mounted on bass
Floor tom: 14″ diameter by 14″ deep floor tom
Snare drum: 14″ diameter by 5.5″ deep

Additional hardware is available. Additional floor toms are available (limited quantities).

For church use we highly recommend replacing the factory single ply clear batter heads of the toms and kick drum to something that will suit your specific needs.

Shipping within Canada and the United States is free for orders $200.00 and over. There is a flat charge of $25.00 for all orders under $200.00.
