The Classic series is one of the four first series of Heartbeat cymbals. Introduced at the David Crowder’s Fantastical Church Music Conference in 2010 in Waco, Texas, the Classic series is our most popular. This series brings back the traditional hand crafted sound of Turkish cymbals from pre seventies, when the famous Zildjian K plant was still operating. Since it closed operations, Ks are now machine made in the USA.
Crafted with the same care and attention that was given the Turkish cymbals of old, The Classic line is…. “classic”! These cymbals are fully lathed and provide a beautiful musical sound that comes from the old school craftsmanship. This is our most versatile series, and features not only rides, crashes and hats, but splashes, bells, Chinas and effects cymbals, many available in two different weights.
If you need one series to cover as many music genres as possible, Classic would be the first choice. And, not surprising, most of the larger crashes can be ridden, and most of the rides crash very well, especially the light weights.
If you own any Classic series cymbals from Heartbeat, we would love to hear from you here! Or, if you have any questions, please feel free to post them here.

Update for the Classic series. Due to many requests from our artists, we added some thin crashes to the line up in 2016. Up to this point, all Classic crashes have been medium thin. Now in the larger sizes (18″. 19″, 20″ and 21″) we now offer a choice of either thin or medium thin.
